ESIC Recruitment 2025 Announced – Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements to apply for the Assistant Professor positions1:
Educational Qualifications:

For Broad Specialties: A Master of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery (MS), or Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in the relevant subject is required. Additionally, candidates must have at least three years of teaching experience as a Senior Resident, Tutor, Demonstrator, Registrar, or Assistant Professor in a recognized teaching institution after obtaining their postgraduate degree1.

For Dentistry: A Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) or an equivalent degree is necessary, along with a minimum of three years of teaching experience in a recognized institution after acquiring the MDS degree1.

For Non-Medical Candidates (Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry): A postgraduate qualification (Master’s degree) and a Doctorate (Ph.D.) in the concerned subject from a recognized university are required. This must be supplemented by at least three years of teaching experience in a recognized institution after obtaining the Ph.D1.

Salary and Benefits
Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Level-11 of the pay matrix, with a salary range of Rs. 67,700 to Rs. 2,08,700. In addition to the basic pay, employees will receive a Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) and other allowances such as DA, HRA, and Transport Allowance as per central government rules1.
ESIC also offers several perquisites, including reimbursement for mobile, internet, and newspapers, Leave Travel Concession (LTC), and opportunities for career advancement under DACP guidelines1.
Selection Process
The selection for the post of Assistant Professor will be based solely on the candidate’s performance in a personal interview conducted by the Selection Board. If a large number of applications are received for any specialty, ESIC reserves the right to shortlist candidates for the interview1.
